Estate Planning, Administration & Guardianships

From complex trust, estate and tax issues to a simple will, our lawyers are experienced and knowledgeable in all areas of estate law and administration:

  • Estate Planning
  • Probate Representation
  • Revocable Living Trusts
  • Estate Taxes
  • Fiduciary Representation
  • Advance Medical Directives
  • Power of Attorney
  • Trusts
  • Wills

Because the appropriate estate plan will vary widely depending on the identity and relationship of the intended beneficiaries, current and potential income levels and current and future financial assets, we carefully assess each client’s personal and financial situation and develop a plan to meet individual estate planning goals, while at the same time attempting to eliminate or reduce the tax consequences.

As an integral part of the estate planning process, we prepare Advance Medical Directives and Financial Power of Attorney contemporaneous with any Will that we prepare.

If your loved one or close friend has not drafted an Advance Medical Directive and Financial Power of Attorney and is now incapacitated or otherwise incapable of making his or her own decisions due to a disability or impairment, your loved one or close friend may require guardianship.  Our firm has experience drafting and filing petitions for guardianship which can be a difficult and confusing process if you file the petition on your own without legal counsel. There are many steps involved to pursue a successful guardianship. It is thus important to have counsel who is knowledgeable with the guardianship statutes to handle your guardianship petition.
